Nu Quantum raises $60m Series A to accelerate quantum networking

Nu Quantum raises $60 million in Series A funding - the largest financing round to date for a quantum networking company.

This major milestone highlights global momentum behind the quantum computing market and showcases the UK’s emerging leadership in modular networking technologies.

The round was led by National Grid Partners with participation from both new and existing investors, including NSSIF.

Nu Quantum, a spin-out of the University of Cambridge and based in the UK, is a multidisciplinary company building the technology essential to scale quantum computers to utility.

The company’s novel photonic hardware and interconnects will enable quantum processors to be woven together into a modular, networked architecture for distributed quantum computing, accelerating the path to large-scale quantum computing systems.

We are proud to continue our support for Nu Quantum reflecting our commitment to back high-growth companies that deliver strategically significant technologies for the UK.
