Osney Capital closes £60m oversubscribed debut fund, strengthening UK cyber innovation

NSSIF is pleased to celebrate the final close of Osney Capital’s debut fund, which has reached its £60 million hard cap. The close marks one of the largest debut seed funds in the UK and reinforces Osney’s position as the country’s first and only specialist cyber security seed fund.

The fund continues to be anchored by the British Business Bank through its Enterprise Capital Funds programme and is accredited by NSSIF. New investors joining at final close include Imperial College London’s Endowment and Planet First Partners, alongside further commitments from exited UK cyber entrepreneurs and senior leaders across the cyber and national security communities.

Since its first close last year, Osney has already completed seven investments into early‑stage UK cyber companies at pre‑seed and seed stage, writing cheques between £250k and £2.5m. These investments span areas such as AI security, disinformation detection, software supply chain protection and advanced threat intelligence, reflecting the UK’s growing strength in sovereign cyber capability.

Osney’s portfolio already includes companies such as Refute, Overmind, Ossprey, Ploy, Aisy, Huntbase and Aviel, each contributing to the UK’s position as a global leader in cyber innovation.

NSSIF looks forward to continuing to support Osney Capital as they back the next generation of UK cyber founders.

Osney Capital brings the specialist focus required to strengthen the UK’s cyber ecosystem. The quality of their early investments highlights the depth of talent and innovation in this country, and NSSIF is proud to support the Osney team as they fund and scale world‑class UK cyber technologies.
